According to Wikipedia
The largest battery maker in the world and an American company, Energizer Holdings, Inc., has its corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. It previously held a number of personal care companies before separating that portion of the business into a new company called Edgewell Personal Care in 2015. It makes batteries under the Energizer, Ray-O-Vac, Varta, and Eveready brand names.
Ray-O-Vac and Varta brands were part of Spectrum Brands’ global battery and lighting division, which the company said it would acquire for $2 billion in cash. 2019 saw the completion of this transaction following a protracted regulatory approval procedure. Additionally, in November 2018, Energizer paid $1.25 billion to Spectrum to acquire the worldwide auto care division (which includes Armor All, STP, and A/C Pro brands).
